Endurance

Kickboxing Is a sport of endurance, more than strength!

“Endurance usually pertains to your Aerobic and Anaerobic capacity.”

The Second component of one’s Fitness is Endurance

Endurance or Stamina,  is the ability to exert oneself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, injury, or fatigue.  In humans, it is usually used in aerobic or anaerobic exercise. The definition of ‘long’ varies according to the type of exertion – minutes for high intensity anaerobic exercise, hours or days for low intensity aerobic exercise. Training for endurance can have a negative impact on the ability to exert strength, unless an individual also undertakes some resistance training, to counteract this effect.

Can you simply run a marathon without training for one??…

Sure if you want injury or heart attack.

Truth is, like anything our body requires repetition to improve it’s endurance- no matter what the activity may be!!

The best way to improve your strength is more- sets, more- repetitions, more- weight or resistance…. We can only become stronger if we improve our Endurance.

The best way to improve your fat loss and cardiovascular system is run longer, farther, and faster…. We can only Burn more calories if we improve our Endurance.

If we look at things in a simple manner: We must improve our endurance in order to improve our overall fitness level.

In order to burn fat and build muscle, We must have a well rounded program that contains exercises for muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance.

Keep looking for examples under the other tabs:

HIIT- Or high Intensity Interval Training (anaerobic focus) & Cardio- For fat burning (aerobic focus)…. Plus examples on how to incorporate them into a well rounded program that works for your own personal goals!!
